Day 1: Kampala - Kibale national park tour

Depart from Kampala by road and head west via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. You will pass through verdant countryside, tea plantations and traditional homesteads. You will continue to Fort portal, a green, pleasant and quit town at the northern end of the Rwenzori Mountains. Kibale is the perfect place to experience the true diversity of wildlife and flora found in a tropical rainforest. After checking in, you will go for a guided walk in Bigodi swamp to look for different bird species like the Shining Blue Kingfisher, Blue Throated Roller among other bird species. Return for dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/Primates lodge/Chimps’ Nest.

Day 2: Primate walk - chimpanzee tracking

This morning, move into Kibale forest national park, for primate viewing. This involves chimpanzee tracking and other primates including Red-Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabey swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest's fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. After lunch, a visit to Bigodi swamp eco tourism site is amazing, as we shall encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna. Return for dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/Primates lodge/Chimps’ Nest.

Day 3: Kibale – Lake Mburo national park tour

After breakfast depart for Lake Mburo National Park. This Park is an extension of the Tanzanian plains with big herds of zebra, impala, eland and other ungulates. Bird viewing opportunities are excellent - for birders, this is one of the best places to find African fin foot, papyrus bush shrike.  After checking in, go for a game drive in the rolling hills and open grasslands. View a variety of Zebras, rare and shy sitatunga and the antelope. The lovely landscape is a home to Impala, Waterbuck, Eland, Zebra, Buffalo, Klipspringers, Crested Crane, and the elusive Shoebill Stork. Overnight at Luxury Mantana Tented camp/Basic Rwonyo Rest Camp.

Day 4: Mburo guided nature walk.

After an early morning breakfast you will have a guided nature walk. A ranger guide takes you on foot to the bush. A strategically located wooden platform (Observation point) offers a thrilling opportunity to experience the park’s Biodiversity. After an early morning breakfast you will have a guided nature walk. Lake Mburo is the only place in this part of Uganda where you can see zebra and Impala and it’s also the best place to see the African Eland, Africa’s largest antelope. A strategically located wooden platform (Observation point) offers a thrilling opportunity to experience the park’s Biodiversity.  After your morning trip, drive back to Kampala which marks the end of your safari.
