Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Safaris National Park

The park is best known for gorilla tracking in that it harbours half of the world’s remaining gorillas located in Buhoma and Nkuringo.  Despite the fact that focus is on gorillas the park is also known to Harbour at least 120 mammal species more than any national park in Uganda except Queen Elizabeth. Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari National Park

In total 76 mammals species have been recorded. Also present in the plains but less frequently observed are leopard spotted hyena and the localised patas monkey. Chimpanzees are also common in the Rabongo forest. The bird checklist of 460 confirmed and 19 unconfirmed species and water-associated birds are prolific along the river Nile, while raptors make a strong showing on the checklist with 53 species recorded. Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safaris National Park

Over 95 mammal species have been recorded in QENP. The park harbours over ten primates including chimpanzees, vervet, blue, red tailed and L’Hoest Monkeys and others. Around 20 predators are found in the park, including lions, side stripped jackals, hyenas, leopards and others. Kidepo Wildlife Tours National Park

This park lies in the far northeast of Uganda, isolated from the country by sparsely populated, arid badlands of Karamoja region. Known to protect over 75 Mammal species, Mgahinga protects lots of golden monkeys, black and white colobus, mountain gorillas, leopards, elephants, giant forest hogs, bushpig, buffaloes, bushbucks, black-fronted duiker and several varieties of rodents, bats and small predators. Semliki Primates & Wildlife Safaris National Park

For the average tourist, Semliki is arguably more attractive for its vast scenery and wild, untrammeled atmosphere than for its game viewing. However primates are well represented with black-and white colobus, olive baboon and red-tailed and vervet, chimpanzees in Mugiri River forest, all regularly observed.
