5 DAY GORILLA  SAFARI

DAY 1: ARRIVAL ENTEBBE - KAMPALA TOWN

Our Company representative will pick you from the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Kampala for dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana. If your flight arrives in the morning you are advised to change money. To get to know Kampala, you have a city tour visiting some exciting places with the help of your driver/guide. These may include: Kasubi Tombs, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, museum and many others, later Dinner and overnight Hotel Africana.

DAY 2: KAMPALA TO JINJA OR TO NGAMBA ISLAND

After early breakfast, we choose either:
Jinja, we have whole day rafting on the Nile.
OR
We depart for Ngamba island, have nature walks, relax and view the chimpanzees having eating. We have lunch at the island then later in the afternoon we return to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana.

DAY 3: KAMPALA – BWINDI GORILLA NATIONAL PARK

After early morning breakfast we depart to Bwindi national park, which is around an 8-hour journey. We stop at the craft village at the equator for pictures and shopping, we continue to Mbarara for lunch and later proceed through the beautiful evergreen mountain country referred to as the "Little Switzerland of Uganda". Arrive Bwindi late evening for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Camp Bandas in Bwindi - simple Bandas with bed and Kerosene lantern for light, but you share bathrooms / showers and pit latrines

DAY 4: BWINDI   - GORILLA TREKKING

After early breakfast, with your packed lunch go for a briefing at 08:00 hours before beginning the trek. Gorilla tracking is unpredictable, so it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. It may take 2-8 hours, and you should be prepared to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas.
For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants. Later return for dinner and overnight at Buhoma community camp Bandas.

DAY 5: BWINDI – KAMPALA

After an early morning breakfast, we transfer back to Kampala directly passing through the beautiful hills. Stop for a leg stretch and sight seeing at the Uganda Equator for some shots and crafts for your own souvenir then continue to Kampala for Dinner and Overnight rest at Hotel Africana / late departure (late flight) back home.
